Final Reflection
we learned a lot in this course of English and Writing. This course taught me how to write essays using the right structure and information put into context.
The teacher taught us how to use references from other websites using bibme APA style to show where we got our information from. We were assigned to write different kind of essays using different styles to develop our English language skills and also we tried to flex more of our English capabilities to me more versatile with it.
The teacher is kind and patient with us because English in not our first language so we find it hard to understand big words or complicated instructions that are given to us but we finally managed to get our work done due to the teacher's ways in explaining things to us simply.
Its good that I'm learning these things because it will help me in the future when I need to communicate with English speaking people and need to write them letters or so and show that I'm a learning seeking person an have diversity in my characteristics.
Its easy to improve my writing skills because I'm always using my computer or other electronic devices and they are all in English language so its somehow teaching me how to write better.
the most enjoying thing is that my classmates are fun to work with, they are understanding and helpful and we never ever had problems with each other in class with students or with the teacher because we listen to each other instead of opposing everything told to us, we have an open mind.

Essay 2
The video "story of stuff 2009" tell us about how production and economy effects earth and information from the video will be used in this essay. The planet we live in gives us a lot of goods and raw materials but overusing these sources to get the raw materials will deplete the earth slowly which makes us look like parasites. Producing goods from raw materials cause pollution and other problems that will be mentioned in this essay and this is killing our planet. Also the economy can have ups and downs depending on the rate of production using the raw materials extracted.
Introduction
Before producing and manufacturing the products we need to extract the raw materials from earth, this process means that we take out the material needed from this planet to then take it to a company or factory to start the production process. Extracting harms the earth as we need machinery and man power to work for the extraction and that causes pollution from machines and damage to the nature because we move a natural thing out of its place. Moreover, the cost for such a process is costly as companies pay workers for the job and then expect to obtain high profits after receiving the raw materials and then using them to produce goods then sell them.
Extraction
Furthermore, the second part of the process is production which is building and creating the items and products to sell them in the markets. This process creates plenty of wasted materials during the production of products as well as emitting toxic fumes like carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide from the factories that are running to build the products. Labor is needed for the production process which means skilled workers are needed and so money is being spend on the machinery as well as the worker's salaries which must be regulated so profits won't be lost therefore it is a big issue for companies because they can affect the economy greatly.
Production
Next on the list is distribution "the creation of value or wealth by producing goods and services" (which is the spreading and supplying the markets to be able to sell to the consumers. A lot of work is also put to this because of transporting methods that cost a lot and also takes time. Contracts must be made with other companies and markets around the world to send and receive products in either large quantities or by the consumer's order. Also, the products are sold cheaply so people can buy the products quickly, this is a negative thing because it doesn't seem to be fair to the workers that worked hard to produce the products but they don't get a lot from it.
Consumption
Consumption is "the process in which the substance of a thing is completely destroyed, used up, or incorporated or transformed into something else" it's a very important part of the system because it's what keeps the world moving on. People buy things to use them, to help them in their life but from the video we know that in the USA products only last six months and then they have to be thrown away and so people will buy it again, also companies make new advertisements about a newer version of the previous product which also makes consumers buy the new product although there isn't a big difference between the old and new product except for the look and that is another way companies get high profits from consumers, to brain wash them.
Disposal
after using the products and the product's life ends you will have to dispose of them which mean throwing the used product away. Disposal of waste can be recycled, incinerated or buried in a landfill. The recycling process is very expensive and not every material can be recycled which doesn't give us many choices so we have to burn or bury the waste products, this produces air pollution and areas on earth will not be inhabitable. Countries are now trying to manage recycling products to reduce the emissions of toxic gases and its working fine although other products can't be recycled and forced to be disposed of completely however some people take these products and try to make them useful again or sold as scarp material to build new products but not in high quality and standards.
Consumption in the UAE
Moreover, here in the UAE people has high income and so people tend to buy expensive products without caring about the outcome. an example of negative consumption is when people here buy a newer version of the same phone and throw away the old one although the difference between the two phones isn't big, furthermore, people here buy expensive cars or cars that are not fuel efficient but they don't care as long as they can afford the car and the petrol prices remain low. These examples show us how we cause a lot of waste on earth and hurt our planet, people here are not aware of the consequences of destroying our planet because they didn't get hurt from it yet.
Conclusion
I therefore conclude that from the information I got from the video 'story of stuff' and from other external sources from the internet, I see that we are killing our planet slowly. People are still unaware of what might happen next although we see signs that our planet is suffering, for example global warming and another example is that oil and other natural raw materials are becoming harder to find hence why countries attack each other to take their sources of raw material, awareness should be spread out and people must contribute to heal our planet. Sooner or later, we will have to recognize that the Earth has rights, too, to live without pollution. "What mankind must know is that human beings cannot live without Mother Earth, but the planet can live without humans. Evo Morales."

Essay 1
3D Technology
Introduction
My topic is about 3D
technology. The 3D technology is invented and developed to allow people to see
objects in 3D display using digital electronic devices like TV and projectors.
It allows the people to see the image in multi view that will look real to the
human eye. It started in cinema theaters and then TVs and is still being
enhanced that even smart phones and digital cameras have a 3D feature in them,
technology is boosting really quick these days and this essay will tell you
more about 3D technology with sufficient detail.
Early history
My topic started as a
film that contains pictures moving on
wheel to project pictures in motions creating movie and was invented by Sir Charles who
also invented the stereoscope which showed that when two pictures are viewed
stereoscopically and then combined by the brain to produce 3D depth perception. Improvements were made on it in
1855 by Louis Dubosq and therefore the Kinematoscope was invented and the
invention aimed to present the illusion of motion. Several
advanced improvements were put on this new invention till 10th of
August in 1928 when it was the first time for the stereoscopic 3D television
was demonstrated by a man called John Logie Baird in his company in 133 Long
Acre London. Moreover, TVs became popular
in USA in the 1950s which lead to making more movies for the cinemas.
Development
In the early stages of developing
the 3D technology it was a great advancement in technology and also many
enhancements were added on it throughout the years to make it better than the
previous 3D inventions. hollywood, USA is the place for the largest movie
companies and its also where 3D technology became popular. The IMAX company
started to produce non-fiction movies in the mid 1980s for the blossoming of
its business, it had a more superior technology with the image to reduce eye
fatigue, and the audience watches the movie while wearing special polarized
glasses that causes the effect of 3D image to them. In 1986, The Walt Disney
Company had the idea of using 3D films to impress their audience; 3D movies
always attracts more attention and so many 2D movies were also converted to 3D
movies which means double the profit for the movie companies.
Modern developments
Moreover, this 3D technology
reached a whole new level in this present time. We can find 3D technology
almost everywhere, it now exists in video games, home entertainment,
businesses, engineering works, and more places are starting to use 3D
technology, this shows that it became an essential part of our technology
because for example it makes every normal image look interesting and eye
catching and makes you see something in a way you have never seen it before
which means it attracts human curiosity to see things differently. Furthermore,
leading companies like IMAX became popular and opened cinemas around the world
specialized for 3D movies, this shows how 3D popularity increased dramatically
that even flat TVs have a 3D option in them. As time goes by, this technology
will get better and better as improvements are being put to it and now there
are successful attempts on making hologram images which uses the same idea as
3D but without wearing glasses and forms a still or moving image which makes
things look like they are alive and in motion which is an idea that might
replace the 3D technology that uses TVs or cinema screen while wearing glasses.
Conclusion
Ultimately, I conclude that all
types of technology are very important to us humans, 3D technology is a small
topic picked from a very large variety of different technologies. Technology
helped us a lot in our life, it made our tasks easier and with almost no effort
at all, programmed machines do our work or computers that do more tasks than
about 20 people at the same time. Many universities, colleges, institutes and
even schools are adapting technology classes to make students ready to work in
high tech places after graduation which means that these young people will lead
our world to an era with high technology that will make this world high tech
and cyber which allows everything to be connected together and makes
life easy as long as we strive and struggle to move on with our learning to
create something new and useful quickly.

Reflection # 1
The English language is almost an international language where everyone around the world in modern and advanced countries know some English to communicate with others therefore this Reading and Writing Subject is essential in my life to teach me more about the English language to increase my communication abilities.
Our teacher Mr. Gregory Virhovnik is teaching us how to summarize and reference articles. i learnt how to pick up the important points in the article to make the article short and easy to understand easily. My work is not bad nor good but our teacher is helping me.
Moreover, Mr. Virhovnik has his way of making us submit our work in time and its by signing our attendance depending if we bring our work done or not, its a smart way of making us all up to date and following deadlines, its harsh but needed, this shows how skilled he is in his profession.
I therefore conclude that studying in a class with this atmosphere that has friendly students and an understanding professional teacher helps a lot with learning and have fun to an extent where our work meets the high expectations of Mr. Virhovnik.

Houbara bustards
These birds are close to extinction but efforts from Emirates Center for Wildlife Propagation is helping to stop this. The center that is hosting the programme for breeding houbara is located in Morocco and financed by UAE government, Cost is not an issue for this programme because an animal who is about to be extincted needs all the help to prevent that from happening. The fund created will spread from UAE, Kazakhstan and Morroco to China and Turkmenistan; where houbaras were once plentiful. Important measures are taken in these facitilities to breed houbaras."the scientists also monitor what happens to birds after they are released, using radio and satellite transmitters to track their movements": These factors helped increases the number of birds in the region as seen; from the past 10 years nesting increased and the number of males increased ten times which clearly shows the success of the programme.
